KOTA TINGGI, September 1, 2024 – A total of 38 clients from the Kota Tinggi Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Center (PUSPEN) have successfully completed the Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara (IKBN) Modular Course Training at the certificate level through two courses, welding and pastry, for this year.
According to YB Tuan Muszaide Makmor, the State Assemblyman (ADUN) for Sedeli, the training program worked as a therapeutic rehabilitation process to strengthen the clients mentally and emotionally in addition to providing them with improved employment skills.
He mentioned that the training proves that every individual has a second chance to improve themselves and change their future.
“This modular course is an essential platform that provides relevant and useful skills for the participants to build a better and more meaningful life.
“The role of PUSPEN in guiding the clients back into society cannot be denied. However, the recovery process will not be complete without the support of their families and the surrounding community.
“The Family Association Program we are holding today is a very important initiative to strengthen the bond between the Kota Tinggi PUSPEN clients and their families, who are the main pillars of our lives and the most crucial element in the recovery and long-term healing process,” he said.
He said this during his speech at the Closing Ceremony of the IKBN Modular Course Training and the Kota Tinggi PUSPEN Family Association Programme 2024, representing the Kota Tinggi Member of Parliament, YB Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin, on Sunday.
Meanwhile, YB Tuan Muszaide reminded the clients to appreciate the support and love provided by their families.
Make them an inspiration to keep working towards improving oneself and being a contributing member of society. Keep in mind that healing involves not just oneself but also one’s loved ones and family.
“To the families, I understand that this process is not easy, but believe that your moral and emotional support is a very valuable source of strength for them,” he added.
Also present were Deputy Director-General (Operations) of the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA), Tuan Khairul Anwar Bachok; Director of the Treatment, Medication, and Rehabilitation.
