KUALA LUMPUR, June 26, 2024 – The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) organized the 2024 National Drug Addiction Science Symposium (SSPDK) and the Inauguration of the Anti-Drugs Day Commemoration at the Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

The programme, themed ‘Empower Synergy, Strengthen Solidarity,’ sought to improve networking and cooperation between all relevant parties—government, business, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), stakeholders, and communities—in order to explore new initiatives that can improve services and to collectively combat drug addiction.

The programme, officiated by the Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifudin Nasution Ismail, began early in the morning and continued until the afternoon.

A total of 1,400 participants attended the symposium, including members from the public and private sectors, NGOs, students, and others.

At the same time, Datuk Seri Saifudin Nasution also launched the NADA i-Cari Portal, which serves as the latest platform for reporting drug abuse.

Also present were the Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, YBhg. Datuk Ruji Ubi; Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain; and NADA Deputy Director General (Operations), Khairul Anwar Bachok.
