Family as the primary reference for clients

SEREMBAN, September 12, 2024 – All families are encouraged to always remain alert to any changes in their children’s behaviour, emotions, or thoughts, especially those undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA).

The Deputy Director-General (Management) of NADA, Shobah Jamil, stated that this effort can help maintain the recovery of clients at the early stage and prevent relapse.

According to her, the family serves as the main reference point for clients in achieving lifelong recovery.

“To all family members, I urge you to consistently support and motivate the clients to adopt a new, healthy, and productive lifestyle.

“This is because the family always remains the pillar of hope in the recovery of clients, whether they are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in an institutional setting (RPDI) or within the community (RPDK),” she said during her speech at the officiation of the Post Continuum Care Programme (PCCP) for Negeri Sembilan on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Shobah expressed her congratulations to every client who finished the treatment and rehabilitation program this year with success.

“I was informed that today’s certificate recipients are clients who have maintained good performance throughout the treatment and rehabilitation period and achieved excellent marks in the recovery index implemented by NADA.

“May today serve as motivation and fuel for everyone to sustain their resilience in facing the challenges of recovery,” she added.

Also in attendance were the Director of the Treatment, Medication, and Rehabilitation Division of NADA, Siti Mariam Mursidan; Senior Assistant Director (Policy and Security) of the Enforcement and Security Division of NADA, Dr. Nazira Sadiron; and Director of NADA Negeri Sembilan, Dr. Hadijah Baba.
