PADANG SERAI, February 15, 2025 – The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) organized the Program AADK Bersama Masyarakat and the Launch of the 2025 Anti-Drugs Calendar at Kolej Tingkatan 6 Kulim, Padang Serai, Kedah, on Saturday.
This initiative, a collaboration between NADA and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), aims to engage with local communities in efforts to prevent drug and substance abuse.
The 2025 Anti-Drugs Day Commemoration maintains the same theme, “Better to Prevent”, with a new narrative: “Drug Prevention is a Shared Responsibility.” This initiative seeks to enhance cooperation between government agencies, private sectors, NGOs, community leaders, families, educational institutions, and local communities in creating a drug-free environment.
The program was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Minister of Home Affairs, who also distributed “Back to School” aid to school students, including clients from the Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Center (PUSPEN) Karangan, Kedah.
The Anti-Drugs Day Commemoration is an annual NADA event in conjunction with National Anti-Drugs Day (HADK), observed every February 19, while International Anti-Drugs Day (HADA) is marked on June 26 each year.
This commemoration serves to remind Malaysians and strengthen the commitment and responsibility of all parties in combating the threat of drugs, which is both a health and national security issue.
Also present at the event were MOHA Secretary-General, Datuk Awang Alik Jeman; MOHA Deputy Secretary-General (Security), Datuk Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman; NADA Director-General, Dato’ Ruslin Jusoh; and heads of departments under MOHA.
