KUANTAN, 3 May 2025 – Director-General of the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA), Dato’ Ruslin Jusoh, emphasized that it is never too late to change and there is always a second chance to recover from drug and substance addiction, especially when one seeks help from the right channels.
He stated that everyone makes mistakes, but those mistakes can be transformed into a path toward a better life.
“There is always a second chance. It’s never too late to change for the better,” he said during a visit and engagement session with Clients undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the Private Rehabilitation Centre (PPP) Drug Intervention Centre (Komited Malaysia) in Sungai Soi, Kuantan, Pahang, on Saturday.
He also highlighted three key messages: appreciate the journey of life, always be determined to build the strength to change, and never feel alone—because outside, many are willing to offer support.
The visit aimed to review the operations of the PPP, which serves as a key strategic partner to NADA in offering various treatment and rehabilitation approaches.
During the visit, Dato’ Ruslin spent time interacting with clients and touring several facilities used in the rehabilitation process.
Additionally, the efforts of the Private Drug Rehabilitation Programme (PPDP) help ease the government’s burden, particularly in delivering specialized treatment and recovery support to those in need.
Earlier, Komited Malaysia President, Khalid, delivered a briefing on the PPP’s operations at the centre.
Also present was Pahang State NADA Director, Zirwatul Ahlam Zamzam.
