PENANG, June 29, 2024 – YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, Minister of Home Affairs, launched the Antidrugs e-SKUAD Pulau Pinang Application as an effort to provide a new platform for registering and participating in volunteer activities organized by the entity.
The application aims to facilitate the registration and updating of current information related to the functions and activities of the Pulau Pinang Antidrugs SKUAD on a regular basis.
It is also developed as an integrated system to record information on the latest programs that all members of the Pulau Pinang Antidrug Skuad can participate in.
In addition, the e-SKUAD application can assess member activity, manage programs digitally, provide systematic reporting, simplify advertisement management, generate revenue for the Antidrug SKUAD, and register programme attendance on a merit basis.
The Antidrugs SKUAD is a volunteer entity led by youth groups, with its main role being to drive antidrug programmes and activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.
This group’s involvement is viewed as a way to assist local leadership in organising, coordinating, and carrying out initiatives to strengthen community activities and improve social and security issues.
The launch took place during the Expresi GenTa (Our Generation) programme with the Minister of Home Affairs: Drug-Free Solidarity in Sungai Bakap, Penang.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, YB Fuziah Salleh; Deputy Director General (Operations) of the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA), Tuan Khairul Anwar Bachok; and the Penang State NADA Director, Elmariah Chung.
