NADA Sports and Welfare Club donates RM27,500 to flood victims

KARAK, 18 December 2024 – A sum of RM27,500 was donated by the National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA) Sports and Welfare Club and the National Anti-Drugs Agency Officers Association (PPAD) as part of the MOHA Skuad Ihsan Madani’s relief mission.

The donation was channeled to every NADA staff affected by the natural disasters in 5 different states: Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, and Kedah.

The President of the NADA Sports and Welfare Club, Muhamad Ramlan Syed Ahamed, said that aid in the form of ready-to-eat food packs and cash donations has been distributed to 200 affected NADA officers all over the world.

“The aid aims to ease the burden of NADA officers while supporting the process of recovering from the flood disaster.

“These donations are also distributed periodically to the NADA officers in need and not limited to natural disasters alone,” he said here, on Wednesday.

Earlier, the Director-General of NADA, Dato’ Ruslin Jusoh, handed the aid boxes to the Directors of State NADAs and Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Centres (PUSPEN) as a gimmick.

Also present were the Deputy Director-General (Operations) of NADA, Tuan Khairul Anwar Bachok; Director of NADA Treatment, Medication, and Rehabilitation Division, Siti Mariam Mursidan; Director of NADA Management Service Division, Syahriyah Shahadan’ Director of Karak PUSPEN Supindi Usop @ Yusop; and President of PPAD, Mohd Azlan Ahmad.
