“After the first formula, we have detected an estimate number of drug addicts and are able to bring them in to undergo treatment and rehabilitation programs in institutions (RPDI) or communities (RPDK).

“Furthermore, targeted prevention efforts need to be mobilized taking into account certain factors to ensure that there are no new upcoming addicts who would contribute to the number of people suspected of (OYDS) drug addiction,” he said.

He said this when he met with all the NADA officials present at the Sik and Baling District NADA Office during the DG NADA Work Visits series to the State of Kedah since last Monday.

The working visit also aims to observe the operation of NADA’s frontline officers as well as being polite and friendly between the Director General and NADA officers in the district.

Also present was NADA’s Director of Treatment, Medicine and Rehabilitation, Siti Mariam Mursidan, Kedah State NADA Director, Abdul Hamediee Ibrahim and NADA’s Chief Assistant Director (Community Rehabilitation), Dr. Nazira Sadiron.
